Part 1: Ondoy experience… just the intro

September 26, 2009, who would forget this date especially the people from Metro Manila? This is the day when Ondoy struck and leaving us with nothing but destruction. I, myself, was also a victim of this typhoon. No way in my entire life would forget that! lol.

I remember it was Saturday; we have a class at 7:30 am. I woke up around 5 in the morning, it was raining hard, but before i left the house the rain stopped. As I was on my way to school, even though the rain halted, the cloud still looks heavy. I arrive at school around 7 am. The class started around 8 and went smoothly. Rain started to pour while in the middle of the discussion. Then as always we took a break around 9. The rain continued to pound the windows. After the break, my classmates who used to go out every break told us the class was suspended! And we were like kids shouting “Yes!!!”, “really? Seriously”, but instead of going home, we chose to stay in the room, talking, messing up with the people doing projects, and taking picture. Wow, look at us! We’re just calm and relaxed despite there is a typhoon! We’re even making fun of some people!! (Right rustan and jc? lmao). Finally we decided to “GO HOME”, as we walk slowly like a snail, we saw flood outside ARH building! This is our first time in 4 years to encounter flood inside our campus! And damn! We were so happy! Taking a picture while we walk in the flood! (Too bad I can’t upload pictures of us, my net sucks atm). Because we’re walking bare-footed we decided to buy slippers in Morayta. The flood there is depper than inside the campus around the legs and take note, the water was WARM. (i’m not interested to know why! so don’t bother to ask). Thinking on how to get to LRT stations ( D.Jose and Recto), a jeep finally appeared. And that jeepney, passing through flooded hi-way with not so nice smell, was able to overcome the waves of flood, safely unloaded us to LRT station and took on separate ways. What i taught was the end is just the start of bigger things.

Future of boxing…

Last sunday night, i watched the replay of HBO’s Boxing After Dark on ABS-CBN ( yep, you heard me right, AbS-CBN). I was forced to watch ABS show for the sake of the fight (who wouldn’t if you’re a boxing fan?). The event was spearheaded by Juan Manuel Lopez (28-0 with 25 knockouts) against a No pushover and tested Steven Luevano (37-2-1) for the WBO Featherweight title, and Yuriorkis Gamboa 17-0 (15) defending his WBA featherweight title against Roger Mtgawa 26-14-2 (18) .

As we all now (For those who watched the fight) JuanMA and Gamboa won their respective matches. JuanMa landing flurries that sent Luevano in the canvass, but with pure heart, he was able to beat the count. Unfortunately the referee halted the fight seeing Steven unable to continue the fight. With a successful win and snatching the title, JuanMa is one of the tough guys in Featherweight class! With his Power and skills, he’s going to be tough to beat. I can’t wait to see this guy getting in the ring against Vasquez, Marquez and Gamboa.

This guy, Yuriorkis Gamboa, i can see the Manny Pacquiao in him when the p4p was still at lower weight. Finally i saw him fight on TV (aside from watching highlights from youtube), the guy was a Blitz King, he was so fast, hits hard, combined with a cat-like reflexes. He stunned the world by stopping Mtgawa, the guy that force JuanMa to its limit, in only just 2 rounds! This guy deserves to be in the p4p top ten lists! Though i can see his cockiness in the ring, he has all the reason to do such! He tends to drop his hands leaving him WIDE open, still Mtgawa can’t hit the guy.This guy is a force reckon, ill tell you all, he will dominate every division he goes in the future, trust me. If JuanMa and El Ciclone (monicker of Gamboa) will face now, no way JuanMa would survive.

Why did I write this? Nothing, just want to spend my time and just want to share how i was stunned with those guy’s performances. Can’t wait to see their future matches against the top featherweight fighters in the world. If you love how Pacquiao fights, watch these guys fight. The future of boxing is bright, with these kind of guys pooping out, it only proves that boxing is not DEAD. Just “be not like Mayweather”

My first blog…. messed up idea lol

Well this will be my first blog post and I’m very much excited! I have tons of accounts in different blog sites but I never used them even once! I don’t even know why I made those accounts until now! (lol, and most probably they are all dead accounts by now). Oops I forgot, I was able to use one blog account! That was way way way back when friendster released their blog section. I remember posting a song in there (our theme song of my first girlfriend) and then that’s it.lol

Honestly, I never imagined myself spending my time in front of the computer blogging and now I’m doing it right now! I don’t know what hit my head to start this kind of things. Last time I check, I would rather sit in front of the computer playing online games such as Ragnarok Online (an OLD game, but with the release of the third job, wow, you’ve got to see them), ASDA story( the most horrible mmorpg I’ve tried so far, I mean HORRIBLE, check it if you want to waste your time), Destiny Online ( so-so game), Tales of pirates( simply the best, “T-H-E B-E-S-T”), and some web browser game such as evony (a great that eats great amount of time) and others. But recently, I felt that I’m at the point of saturation of being a gamer so I decided to leave the online gaming world. (Maybe just for now)

From gamer I decided to shift to a reader of articles and blogs about current events, general knowledge, and sports. (I intentionally didn’t include school books >:) ). Then I started commenting on articles and comments of other people. And wow, I enjoyed it. Then I started to think of blogging, and then this realization turned into fruition. Now from this day on ill spend my time blogging rather than wasting my time doing nothing 🙂
